Biography
TIM SMITH -- BASS

Tim Smith is a bass player and producer based in Nashville, Tennesse.
Tim is a graduate of the University of Miami, where he received a degree in studio music and jazz on electric bass and graduated summa **** laude in 1979.

In 1981 Tim joined forces with former McCartney and Wings drummer Joe English to form the Joe English Band, one of the ground breaking Contemporary Christian Bands of the era.

RODDY SMITH -- GUITARS

Roddy has been a musician since he was a child, cutting his teeth playing with his father Ralph Smith and uncle Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith. After a number of years being active in the live and studio music scene in the Carolinas, in 1995 he joined with his old friends the Moody Brothers as a musician and artist at Disneyland Paris outside Paris, France. After two years, Roddy returned to the States and has lived in Nashville, TN since 1997. He has been active as a studio musician and live performer both as a side man and with his own band. His studio credits include projects with Boots Randolph, saxaphonist Bill Evans, as well as many rock, country and gospel artists. As a member of the band Mr. Groove, Roddy's playing and composing credits included the releases "Little Things"(DiamonDisc), "Roots, Blues and Jazz" (with Bonnie Bramlette, Zoho), "Rocket 88: Tribute to Ike Turner"(Zoho).


STEVE WILLETS -- KEYBOARDS

Mr. Willets earned his Bachelor of Music Education from the George Peabody College of Teachers, Nashville, TN. His live performance credits include performances with the following artists: Jan & Dean, The Shirelles, Drifters, Coasters, Wolfman Jack, Brenda Lee, Lee Greenwood, Sandy Patti and Boots Randolph. Further to his performing abilities, Mr. Willets has performed on various recording projects for gospel, rock and jazz artists. In addition to his performance credentials, Mr. Willets writes, produces and performs custom and original songs for many consumer corporations. His past experience includes work with the Bridgestone/Firestone and Harley Davidson corporations.

TOMMY WELLS -- DRUMS AND PERCUSSION

Tommy has played on recordings by Ricky Van Shelton, Foster and Lloyd, Michael Martin Murphy, Ray Stevens, Don MacLean, Gene Cotton, RPM, Jo-el Sonnier, Holly Dunn, The Statler Brothers, Roy Clark, Jonathon Edwards, Jimmy Hall, Charlie Daniels, Porter Wagoner, Lynn Anderson, Charley Pride, Dan Seals, B.J. Thomas, Riders in the
Sky and Kathy Mattea, among many others.

Currently, Tommy is involved with recording and playing with award winning Western Swing artist, Carolyn Martin. He also works with Jimmy Hall and The Prisoners of Love, as he has for almost 30 years.

Tommy was on TV shows Nashville Now, Music City Tonight, and Prime Time Country on a regular basis. Midnight Special, Carson and Dinah Shore were other TV credits.

Tommy and Nashville session legend Jerry Kroon also teach a class, Studio Drummer’s Workshop. Billy Mason, Rich Redmond, and Chris Brown are alumni.

DOUG MOFFET -- WOODWINDS

Doug Moffet is a Yamaha saxophone artist raised in Madison Wisconsin. He studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy and the University of Miami.

Living in Nashville, TN the past 25 years, Doug has enjoyed the experience of recording and playing live with hundreds of artists. His recording credits cover a wide variety of musical genres that include Gospel, R&B, Country, Rock, and Jazz. A great many of these recordings have been Grammy nominated.

A small sample of recording highlights include Larry Carlton, Tony Bennett, Vince Gill, Take Six, Cee Cee Winnans, Amy Grant, Keith Urban, Johnny Lang, Bobby Blue Bland, Little Milton, Robert Randolph, Michael Omartian, Michael McDonald, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Edwin McCain, Lou Rawls, Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, Leroy Parnell, Faith Hill, The Mavericks and Garth Brooks.

Movie Soundtracks include Evan Almighty with LeAnne Rimes, Veggie Tales. and Over the Hedge with Ben Folds.

KATHY KOSINS -- LEAD AND BACKGROUND VOCALS

ASCAP award-winning vocalist Kathy Kosins has won the hearts of critics and fans around the globe with her eclectic musical palette that expands the rich history of jazz.

She has shared the stage and performed with numerous names in the jazz and R&B world. A few notables are: Cyrus Chestnut, , Terell Stafford, Randy Brecker, Javon Jackson, Larry Goldings, James Moody, Kevin Mahogany, Bernard Purdie, Greg Hutchinson, Eric Harland, Red Holloway, Grant Green Jr., Reuben Rogers, Reuben Wilson, Aaron Goldberg, Tamir Hendelman, Jesse Davis, Eric Marienthal, Mitch Ryder, Marshall Crenshaw, Was/Not Was and Michael Henderson.

TIM GORDON -- WOODWINDS

A Grammy nominated saxophonist, Tim Gordon holds an undergraduate and Master's degree from The North Carolina School of the Arts and is presently teaching at Winthrop University. As a freelance recording artist, Tim has worked with national artists, such as Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valle and The Four Seasons, The Spinners, The Temptations and The Count Basie Orchestra, and local big band, jazz, R&B artists and Broadway shows. Television and video credits include "The Young Indiana Jones", "The Four Tops Live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas" and the Grammy nominated "The Nature of Drumming" with Jim Brock. Live performances include Pink Floyd, Tony Bennett, Linda Ronstadt, Ray Charles, Harry Connick Jr., Three Dog Night and many, many more.

DARRYL JOHNSON -- LEAD AND BACKGROUND VOCALS

Darryl has performed and recorded with such artists as Bill Pinckney and the Original Drifters, General Johnson and the chairmen, Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs, Crystal Bernard, Maria Howell, Bonnie Bramlett, Bekka Bramlett, Shelley Fairchild, Bill Evans, Billy Ward, Arthur smith, Johnny Neel, Tommy Polk, Roy Agee, Steve Patrick, Doug Moffet, Bill Evans, Billy ward, Chris Shinn, Larry Henley, Anthony Smith, Bobby Ogden, and many more. Darryl also recorded for pocket songs/music minus one, and sound choice karaoke for many years, and continue to perform tracks for them to date.
