About Abijah
Promotion of Abijah's new album "Moving 2 the Top" is now officially underway, with a 6 month roll-out and an official street date in the Spring of 2008 (how 'bout 4/20). Print publicity has begun with Fly on the Wall Media. Advertising, internet marketing, and video distribution are all in the works.

Please be in touch regarding any networking or performance opportunities: 617-771-5119 (ReggaePR@aol.com), and via www.Reggae4i.com.

Abijah has also just won the "All Things Digital" World/Reggae Contest, which has been announced to over 30,000 industry members of all genres.

Performances are being planned for spring, summer, and fall. Listen to the tracks provided, and visit Abijah's AirPlay Direct page for many more songs (full-song audio playback). They're available free, in broadcast-quality, to all Radio programmers.

We're seeking promotional, booking, and distribution partners from in Europe, the Caribbean, Asia, and across America. Hard copy mailings on request. Dub Plates available.

DPK (digital press pac) BIO:
Abijah's thrilled thousands throughout Europe at Festivals there (Rototom, Jamaica Sunrise, etc.), and in the U.S. and Canada (Monterey Reggae, Sierra Nevada, Montreal International, Calgary, etc.). Recent American tours have taken Abijah throughout the Northeast, Midwest, all up and down the West Coast, out to Hawaii, and through Colorado.

Abijah is one of the most versatile artists to come out of Jamaica in years. His first tune "Revelation" (here featured - in its original format - and as a duet, with Beenie Man, on the Remix) hit #1 in Jamaica, and was featured on his first album, released through VP Records (producer Mikey Bennett, of Maxi Priest & Shabba Ranks' fame).

"Moving 2 the Top" is the flamenco-tinged new-style dancehall track - from the album of the same name - now in the process of being released. A video for it's getting heavy rotation on Hype TV in the Caribbean, and will soon be available internationally.

On the new CD, Abijah's own production talents are matched with Peter Tosh guitarist Gibby, as well as a few collected singles, for a broad range of musical styles, from roots anthems to ballads, even the hip hop feel brought by Smoke Bulga to "Where Has the Love Gone."

The lyrically deep "Love (the most abused word)" is part of the catalog Philip 'Fatis' Burrell (of the Xterminator production house behind Luciano & Sizzla's meteoric ascendance) was released promotionally by JetStar (out of the UK).

Abijah's earned the unique moniker: "Ambassador of Peace" for his work in schools throughout Jamaica, as well as overseas, where he's been invited to present at both Harvard & Oxford Universities. Abijah's works have been chronicled in books (Robert & Julia Roskind's Rasta Heart, and others); and have taken him to various Native American reservations & even prisons.

Abijah's been backed steadily by the Dub Station band, who recently performed with him on Jamaican TV from the National Arena in Kingston, during the initial launch of "Moving 2 the Top" this fall.

Abijah's image is being blazoned on billboards throughout the island, as he's been endorsed by the telecommunications company Call the Planet.

Again, please don't hesitate to email us at ReggaePR@aol.com or call 617-771-5119 for more information, or to begin further collaborative work together.
