Biography

Coilcell is a four piece progressive, hard rock band established in 2007 based in Hershey Pennsylvania. The current line up is: Mark McNelley on lead vocals, Mike Bordner on bass guitar / vocals, Brian Kneasel on guitar / vocals, and Dwayne Weaver on drums. Each musician is experienced in performing, and touring in various rock projects throughout the late 80's, 90's, and into the new millennium.

Coilcell performs a mix of modern day melodic hard rock covers, solid, classic rock hits ranging from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. They currently have an extensive library of strong original songs with very “catchy” vocal hooks, guitar riffs, drum solos, and bass grooves. This four piece band adds a crunch of heavy, and a splash of smooth. They can be well respected by many audiences.
The band spent two years rehearsing cover material as well as writing original material. Keeping the originals as priority, they arranged, and re-arranged their songs. Other musicians were pulled in for feedback, and constructive criticism. After completing around twenty original songs, the band made a decision to enter the studio in 2008 and record eleven of them. Nine have been selected, and added to their debut CD. Coilcell has released their self entitled debut CD “Coilcell” in 2009. Coilcell will be recording there second CD in the winter of 2010.
More exposure is needed to move this band in the right direction, therefore tour dates are being booked for the fall of 2009 through the winter of 2010.
