Biography
Easi B is an prolific Songwriter, talented Musician and a creative Producer with an extensive portfolio of music comprising of albums, EPs and singles releases. He has had a number one single in the UK in 2002 and his music continues to be the favourite among many around the world; but how did Easi B got started in the music industry and hit the top spot on a mainstream radio?

Born Errol Brown in the picturesque parish of Portland Jamaica Easi B is the only male sibling in a family of three children and attended the Port Antonio Comprehensive High. He was a singer in his teenage years and was a member of his family church choir where he also learned to play guitar, bass, drums and the piano. It was from this early age that Easi B dreamt of becoming a reggae music ambassador.

In the early part of his music career, Easi B started singing on local sound-systems and performing at talent concerts. He later joined the Survivors band as the lead singer and began developing a dedicated and passionate fan base. He was given the name “Easy B” by his fellow band members, because of his easy-going/laid back personality; the spelling was changed in 2003 to “Easi B” to distinguish him from other artists with similar names.

Easi B left his hometown in Portland for Kingston to pursue his musical career, as this was where it was all happening in the music business in the 90s. He was spotted by the Pacesetters Band members who were impressed with his vocals and invited him to join the group. He released his first professionally produced single entitled, ‘Lonely is the Night’ in the mid 90s on the Pacesetters label, followed shortly by a cover of the then popular song ‘Don’t Wanna Lose You’.
Shortly after, Easi B began travelling to and from the UK performing and promoting his music and decided to spend time there as he saw a growing demand to work with him by some of England’s most prominent producers. The first single he released in England was called, ‘I’ve Been a Fool’ on the Juggling label then thereafter a four track EP entitled ‘Return to Class’ on a label called YPG. He later had ‘Blessed Be the Rock,’ and ‘Moses’ on the Dimension label as well as two tracks featured on Jet Star’s ‘Riverbash’ compilation album entitled ‘Give Me a Heart’ and ‘Just like a River’. 1998 saw the release of his debut album entitled ‘Prophecy’ on Jetstar’s Charm label and published by SONY, then one year later in 1999, a second album on the same label entitled, ‘Rock ON’ was released.

Easi B achieved a definitive accolade in his music career in 2002 when his single ‘Blackman’s History’ on the Potential label became a hit in the UK. The song held the number one spot for six weeks on the Choice FM top 20 reggae chart and reached number three on the Echoes reggae chart. Choice FM, branded on-air as London's Choice, is a brand used by the UK's biggest radio company, Global Radio for its network of black music radio stations. It was Britain’s first 24 hour black music radio station with a license, covering South London.

In 2005, Easi B graduated from the School of Sound Recordings (SSR) in Manchester UK where he studied Music Production. He released his third album ‘Guns & Roses’ in 2006 on the Potential label and he continued to reap success throughout Europe for his profound song writing skills and smooth sounding ‘easy’ vocals.
However the following year 2007, he decided to form his own independent label, Yumojah Records and since then have released a catalogue of music on his own label. This includes a gospel album entitled ‘The Rebirth of Easi B’ another album entitled 'Stories Untold' two EPs '4 Play' and 'Straight Talk' a couple of singles.

Easi B is now promoting his new EP 'From My Heart' featuring 5 authentic reggae tracks. The EP is an expression of Easi B's current state of mind as it relates to topics that are dearest to his heart. With smooth sounds, touching lyrics and gospel influences “From My Heart” is set to evoke strong emotions, deep meditations and reverberate the sub-conscious mind to the point of creating a play back effect.

Over the years Easi B remained committed to the people his music represents and has grown over the years from strength to strength. His knowledge and experience of the industry has lead him to form his own production company, Yumojah Records. The company slogan, ‘Making a Difference in Music’ attest his decision to continue to create music that positively impact fans around the world and in particular revelutionise the Reggae genre.
