Biography
Vocalist, poet and teaching artist, Eboniramm was born in Manning, SC, a descendant of the gullah/geechie culture from the low country. Eboni’s written word reads like the robust sounds that emanate from her voice. A mother, a twin daughter, she currently lives in Columbia, SC where she conducts jazz and poetry workshops in schools and libraries for our youth. Through song and spoken word, her quest to bring forth the inherent wisdom buried in us all is furthered as she seeks pathways of expression and reflection. Founder of Main Street Jazz, Eboniramm cultivates community enlightenment through the art of jazz.

Her most recent endeavors include a teaching residency with VSA arts of SC wherein she conducted jazz appreciation workshops with consumers of United Cerebral Palsy of SC and GA in collaboration with the Columbia Music Festival Association and secondly, the May 2009 release of her seminal jazz CD entitled "The Look of Love."

Highlights of her career include receiving the honor of serving as a Library Literary Resident with one of our nation's top County Libraries as well as attending the Master Classes of Grammy award-winning vocalists and producers Joe Sample in 2008 and Rachelle Ferrell in 2009. Eboniramm continues to perform at various venues and festivals throughout the southeast USA and welcomes the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of jazz.
