Biography
Lee Brittan is probably the most underrated country stylist of his era, with an approach to his music that is refreshing and different in a world full of copyists.
Lee has certainly paid his dues on the highly competitive Club circuit and never fails to capture an audience and hold them for hours with his own unique brand of humour and song. He is not just another country singer, he has today's sound plus the magical lyrics of contemporary country music that stands up to anything from Overseas.
Lee can be justifiably proud of his British heritage and his contribution to Australia's country music history.
With 'IF WISHES WERE HORSES", Lee was encouraged to record locally written songs, as opposed to American covers and he has certainly done that, drawing on some of our top songwriters such as: Mick Hamilton, Allan Caswell, Jack Pledge, Doug Ashdown, Bill Kettle, Reece Kirk and Doug Rowe.
