Singer/Song Writer Marvin Hull Jr…..Years ago, I moved to Nashville in hopes of furthering my music career. Once there, someone asked me why I came to Nashville, and what my plans were. I explained to them that I was a singer and that I came to Nashville to begin my music career. They told me, we have thousands of singers that come to Nashville everyday looking for their big break......that usually never comes, If you want to make it here in Nashville, you have to be a writer……Thus began my everlasting writing career.


I was fortunate enough to work with a lot of great writers including Wayne Perry (Every Second – Collin Raye, There Goes My Heart Again-Holly Dunn, What Part of No Don’t You Understand-Lorrie Morgan, etc.). Although nothing ever became of any of the music we created, the memories and lessons I learned at that time have proven to be priceless. One of the many lessons I’ve learned is that, we can live or lives day in and day out by doing the same old things or we can choose to reach for things that normally would otherwise seem just out of our reach.


Since that time, I've continued to write and to reach. My current project is a new CD called "One Foot in the Stirup" which I feel is some of my best work in some time. I’m not sure how or even when....but if you haven't heard one of my songs yet....you soon will.
