Biography
Michael Desselle, the artist formerly known as "Molten Mike" has just released Low Tech Redneck and Goin ' Back to Tennessee as a double single.
Michael started playing guitar at 6 years old. He practiced, played alone and with groups while his dad was in the Air Force and grew up in New Orleans and a dozen other places.
In 1997 he started producing and recording his own music and songs, and teamed up With Randall Ierna Executive Producer and Publisher of Ranluron Music, BMI. They have produced 5 full length CD's and 4 singles to date. The first album produced was "Blues Meltdown" which featured primarily Electric Guitar based Blues/Jazz/Rock fusion. The second album was put out the next year. "Genuine Bluesman" features Mike playing his vintage 1928, and 1932 National Steel Guitars as well as some work on his Taylor Acoustic. Again, the album featured Mike's original music and songs. The next Album was his "Millenium" album which was released in 2000. "The Movie" is really a CD and features a variety of styles and is billed as "The soundtrack" for an imaginary Movie. "Chameleon" is the next album. Two years in the making it features 12 songs and tunes in 12 different "sub-genres" ranging from Porch Blues to Jazz, Pop, Rock, Country, Latin,R & B, and Retro-Techno. The cover of the CD boasts a Lenticular Image of Mike that changes between a Steel Guitar Country Blues Personna and an Electric Rock/Country, Red ES-335 Gibson Guitar Slinger. This cover is very hard to describe, however you can see it on the cap page of Moltenmike.com. The CD also has 2 CD-ROM videos and 2 hidden tracks with Japanese lyrics. The fifth and latest CD "All Blues" is a compilation of 20 of Mike's Blusiest Songs. This album was produced for Mike's 2003 tour of Australia and has been re-issued in the U.S. and Australia for his 2009 Australian Tour. All Albums are still in Circulation.
Michael Desselle has appeared and performed in thousands of venues. He prefers to play Festivals, and Outdoor Events. Some of his more notable gigs are: The 70,000 person Tampa Super Bowl Celebration when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl. Mike and his group were the headliner that played just prior to the Bucs taking the stage. Mike played for 7 years as Pre-Game entertainment for the Bucs and had the privilage to play for the Grand Opening of the new Raymond James Stadium. He has also played Pre -Game entertainment for the Tampa Bay Rays. Mike has played over 100 appearances at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney World in Orlando Florida and also the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Other great appearances include Concerts at the famous Ruth Eckerd Hall,The Virgin Super Store, The Narooma Festival and Thredbo Festival in Australia, The Fort Lauderdale Blues Festival, The Florida State Fair , The Florida Strawberry Festival opening for Blood Sweat and Tealrs,,and many others.
Mike has also played some of the top Music Clubs in Florida, Nashville,Tenn, Ohio, and in Australia in Sydney, Perth, Canberra, Cairns, Adelaide, and Melbourne.
Michael Desselle is always pushing the boundarys of the music he writes and produces. He is currently in production with a new album which will be a Country Music crossover, featuring a Wedding Waltz "One Little Love" and a Patriotic Song "Thank a Soldier", which recognizes the courage and service our men and women in the military give to our Country. Also included are the humerous ditty "Low Tech RedNeck",The Line Dance "Some Cowgirls",A serious statement "Conspiracy Theory", The Country-Rock "Wouldn't Treat a Dog Like That", "The Meaning of Lover" And the Country Rock "Going Back To Tennessee".

Michael's music has been used in the soundtrack of the Film "Steal Wheels" and several of his songs have been used as soundtracks for ABC Sports.
