performer and a producer—at the time sung by HBO series Treme theme songwriter John
Boutté. Here Mayfield re-records this with a 1960s approach, featuring a fourteen-piece horn
section with the funkiest of rhythm sections, starring New Orleans vocalist Jolynda “Kiki”
Chapman.
