Biography
Manuel Mendez better know in the music industry as Amanni "La Esperanza", is a latin artist that brings a fresh new twist to the reggaeton and urban music. Amanni born and raised most of his life in Chicago comes from a Puerto Rican family from Ponce, Puerto Rico. Amanni spent most of his younger years growing up in Ponce then moving at the age of 10 back to Chicago. Growing up listening to Rap, House, Freestyle, R&B, Reggaeton and Dance music has helped him develop a unique style. Bringing Hip hop, dance and R&B flavor into the reggaeton and urban music. Amanni is said "to take reggaeton and urban music into a whole new level"

Currently Amanni is working on his debut solo album, and is expecting to release his first single by the end of summer 2008.

Amanni previously went by "Manny" and was part of the well known Chicago duo Manny & Bebe. Between 2002-2006 Amanni gained a tremendous amount of experience, and quite a large fan base. In 2003 Manny & Bebe started performing at local Chicago land clubs, and by 2004 they had over 20 different perfornaces around the Chicago land area. In 2005 Manny & Bebe were given the opportunities to perform in front of over 10,000 screaming fans with acts that include the Aragon Ballroom and Congress Theater in Chicago. Quickly gaining popularity and becoming Chicago's number one reggaeton duo. By the end of 2005 Manny & Bebe had released their first album titled "PA Q TE ACUERDES MAMI".

By 2006 Amanni had been in several opening acts for major artist such as Daddy Yankee, Wisin & Yandel, Don Omar, LDA, Adassa, Victor Manuel, Elvis Crespo, Aventura, Monchy & Alexandra, Notch and many more.

Amanni is excited to have returned to the music industry after being away for a year. With the release of his single due before the end of this summer, he is anxiously awaiting the reviews of his fans and the new ones to come.
