You were an oasis
When I was in the desert
But when I got too close
Youd disappear

And feed me drops of water
And tell me it was wine
And not to fear

And you gave me bread and fishes
And spoke of burning bushes
And I drank your blood
Just to prove my faith
But when I cried an ocean
And asked you to come over
You took a step
And sank without a trace

You were singing my song
So I gave you a halo
But you preferred to wear
A crown of thorns
I was your disciple
Standing in your shadow
When you spoke
I hung on every word
