Biography

Big*Radio was formed by singer/songwriter Darrell Sherbert to showcase his songs which are a unique blend of Rock, Pop and Americana. Growing up in a small southern town in the upstate of South Carolina, Darrell was raised on the early pioneers of rock and country such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. His musical influences would later go on to include a multitude of genres from The Beatles, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp and John Hiat to Bob Marley, U2 and Wilco, just to name a few. After moving to Los Angeles and spending several years playing the "Southern California Scene" and later moving to Nashville, TN, and also spending several years travelling around the U.S. and simply just experiencing life, Darrell has created a 'road map' of his life's journeys through his music and his songs and brought them back to his Carolina home to create BigRadio. He has a unique way of spinning stories about real life experiences that anyone can relate to. His versatile and wide range of influences span the generations of musical styles. His explosive vocals are something to hear and his unforgettable lyrics linger and leave a long lasting impact on your soul.
