There’s a little more money this year
There haven’t been as many vet bills
And more friends are saying “Be of good cheer!”

It’ll be a little bit better this Christmas
Not as much medication this time
The job’s a little more friendly
And merry is easier to rhyme

Shaking a snow globe’s a pleasure
Red and green’s never a bore
Hope might really be possible
This might be the year you can walk through that door

And see Christmas might be getting better
This might be the year that you’ve been waiting for
