Biography
Daze of Dawn hits you like a raging tsunami, only to soothe you like your mother's milk. Based in Valencia Spain, this heavy, alternative retrorock band have been stunning audiences across the country since 2001.

Receiving steady airplay, DOD have recorded and produced 4 albums, played in 2 of the country´s largest rock festivals (Festimad and Vinarock), and have appeared and performed on a variety of national radio and TV programs. The band has toured extensively throughout Spain and more recently in other European countries.

Daze of Dawn is superb, original rock music - funky grooves of rock, grunge, metal, folk-rock and blues. From Neil Young to Wolfmother, Led Zeppelin to Ben Harper, DOD's hard-rock core lies within the dynamic synergy of its four members and their ability to perform live on stage.

Singer Klyde's driving vocals, Paul and Jake's distortion fuelled guitar-riffs and funk augmented baselines are fantastically solidified by Gonzo’s anchored yet "animalistic" drumming. Daze of Dawn stand out from other groups in Spain for the simple fact that they don’t SOUND Spanish. The band's "authentic" English lyrics and vocals by Canadian frontman Klyde give DOD an international appeal; making their personal, unique, and not-quite-commercial sound one of the hottest exports in the country.

Their new album "YETI NATION", slated for release in September 2008, takes the listener on a sonic adventure unlike anything DOD has produced before. With line-up changes in 2006, the band and music have morphed into something altogether new yet timelessly familiar - weaving a sound and style that could sit comfortably with the great hard-rock albums of the 70's. YETI NATION was recorded live in just 7 days.

YETI NATION features the hard-to-classify single BREAKING DOWN, the relentless, "guitar-hero" track MAXIMUM HEADROOM, as well as a monster 6.5 minute opening track SCARLESS LIFE. The band also dish-up a powerful cover of NEW ORLEANS IS SINKING by Canadian super-group The Tragically Hip. Listen to other tracks, as well as live unreleased acoustic versions exclusively online through myspace and reverbnation.

Daze of Dawn is the best new live band you'll discover this year.
