Biography

Ben Scroggs, an ordained minister, founded Inheritance in September 2003. Since that time Inheritance has traveled coast to coast and border to border sharing their unique message in song. Inheritance is truly making their mark in Gospel music singing with many top artists such as: Jeff & Sherri Easter, The Hopper’s, Greater Vision, The Kingdomheirs, The Kingsmen, The Mark Trammell Trio, Mike Bowling, The Chuck Wagon Gang and many others. Inheritance has also performed for many top Christian organizations such as TBN, Promise Keepers, The Gospel Music Fan Festival, The National Quartet Convention, and The Oklahoma Opry and are members of the CCMA (Christian Country Music Association). They were recently nominated for a Diamond Award for Duet of the Year. Their current radio single debuted on the Christian Country charts at #78 in June of 08’ and is still climbing. As of August of 2008, it reached #23.

Ben is also a very prolific songwriter and has seen many artists record his material and has seen his songs hit the national charts. Dave Wilcox, Senior Vice President of the Eddie Crook Company, states, "I have been a fan of Ben's songwriting for many years.” Ben currently had one of his songs reach #31 on the Singing News top 80 chart in December of 2005. He has written 4 songs that have made the top 80 in Gospel Music.

The other member of Inheritance - Jackson and Scroggs is Dustin Jackson. Dustin began a solo career in early 2000 and joined Inheritance in the summer of 2004. Dustin has a passion for God and a heart for the ministry. His vocal ability is second to none. He has also co-written two songs with Ben off their project “No Back Roads.” Dustin’s son Brandon, has been a vital part to the ministry since early 2007 when he began traveling with Inheritance helping with road duties and wowing the crowd with his excellent voice. Anyone who has never experienced Inheritance will be very impressed with their professional music as well as their anointing for ministry. Their music crosses cultures and generations and many have been touched through their message in song.
