Jan Michael Looking Wolf is a nationally known recording artist and performer with 17-CDs and 3-DVD's released on multiple record labels. His music has received 43-award recognitions and a "Top Ten" ranking in the national new age charts.

In 2008, his solo traditional native flute album "UNITY" brought international attention to the music of Jan Michael Looking Wolf. He became the first flutist in history to ever win "Flutist of the Year" at the prestigious Native American Music Awards (NAMMY's) and the Indian Summer Music Awards (ISMA). 2009 brought the highly coveted "Artist of the Year" award; followed in 2010 with "Record of the Year" honors.

Throughout his musical career Jan Michael Looking Wolf travels a broad range of musical styles with the Native American Flute; from Native American musical scores to Rock recordings further bridging the gap between traditional native and mainstream music.

The Breakin' Free Project by the Jan Michael Looking Wolf Band was created to help spread the word about Drug and Alcohol Prevention for Native American Youth through music. The Breakin' Free Project gives special acknowledgement to the Youth of this World - Our Hope for the Future.
