Under Her Spell
Part Santana, part Love Potion Number 9. I conceived this as a Latin flavored groove with a touch of that cool Lieber and Stoller groove. I had some good help with the lyrics on this one from Mike Cullison. It always feels good to play this one live. Daniel Seymour and I are joined by Chip Clarke on this song. Chip filled in one night for Rick Schell and did a fantastic job. Chip was a student of mine in the Audio Dept. at the Art Institute of Tennessee, and is a fine drummer.
