Biography


MíLaĴa Records have quickly earned a solid reputation as a leading outlet for revolutionizing the music scene. The MíLaĴa Records label was launched in June 2007 with a classic Southern Soul extended play album by “Miz B”. July saw the release of R&B/Soul Blues Artist “Mr. Sam” which features 10 tracks from various renowned producers such as: Archie Love (JEA), EZ Rock (Bar-Kays), Morris J. Williams (Ecko Records), Tahl Cole and Elvis Williams who also has produced hits for the infamous Bar-Kays and J. Blackfoot.

The label’s second released topped the Blues Critics Charts for eight (8) straight week with “Mr. Sam” (12 Steps 4 Cheaters) and staking claims on the National Charts also with 12 Steps 4 Cheaters. The label’s newly rising star artist Mr. Sam received nominations in four (4) categories for the 2007 Blues Critic Award (Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Slow Song of the Year), winning the "Best New Male Artist" Award. The artist also made the top 10 songs of the year in the UK for his single “I’m Comin’ Home”, top 30 songs of the year for his song "12 Steps 4 Cheaters" 2007 Blues Critic and the album was rated #6 Best Selling Album for the Year 2007 Blues Critic.

2008 brings another chart breaker for label artist Mr. Sam. Topping the charts at #1 for six (6) straight weeks with his hit "Voicemail" the acclaim follow-up featuring Malaco Recording Artist Floyd Taylor (the late Johnnie Taylor's son).

NEW for 2009 is Falisa JaNaye' raving up more hits for the label with her debut double singles "U Won't Miss Yo Water" and "Sweet Love" the first of many singles to rapid cross international waters. Then another triple threat for the company is Singer/Songer Writer, Musician and Producer "Kello Aman". Kello Aman bring to the label added heat from Producing for Alexander O'Neal, Sound Of Blackness, The Harlem Globetrotters and many more to playing and touring with the artist Prince. Wooooooooooo what else can you ask for at one label?

For the past nine years MíLaĴa Records founder LA Anderson served as Director of Marketing for Jazzii Entertainment & Productions. He was responsible for the acclaimed May – December Winds (And Dorothy You’re Not In Kansas Anymore) book launch by Lynette Love. The book is a self-help guide for teen girls and those who impact their lives dealing with teen girls who are involved with older guys. He was also responsible for the launch of Leo Casino’s Cyber Café, an online store for the Black Hall of Famer of Movies Maker. Earlier 2007 LA had Co-Found M-Trax Records. Apart from his thirty year involvement with soul music, LA also enjoys Rock, Jazz, classic country and Latino music.

His favorite non-music pursuits include Watching football (Pittsburg Steelers) games, Movies, A&P (Aircraft Maintenance Technician), Web page designing, Dancing, Traveling, Soul Food, Blue Moon and Bud Light Beer.
