Higher Love

Did he say he'd never leave you,
And change your unhappy life?
Did he promise you undying love
And to make everything alright?
Did he say the things you longed to hear,
That you'd never heard before?
And did he tell you that he'd break your heart,
When he walked out the door?
There's a love that's higher than this one.
Just wait and see.
If you give your heart to Jesus,
Only then will you be free.
