My Father
Families come in all shapes and sizes, two parents, one or none at all
Morals decay as self indulgence arises, and children's hearts begin to fall
Where can I go, who can I call
I'll turn to my savior, the Father of all
My Father, I need You, come wrap me in Your grace
Without You I'm empty, I long for Your embrace
I'm tired and lonely, I need You to hold me, I want to see Your face
Come touch me, come love me, my Father
Blessings and curses have lost their meaning; parents speak hate while kids soak it in
What can I do to drown out the screaming, of generations lost in sin?
Where can I go, who can I call
I'll turn to my savior, the Father of all
My Father, I need You, come wrap me in Your grace
Without You I'm empty, I long for Your embrace
I'm tired and lonely, I need You to hold me, I want to see Your face
Come touch me, come love me, my Father
Do you hear me, can You see me, drowning in despair
Yes, I hear you; I can see you, let me show You that I care
My children, I love you, come rest within my grace
I want you to need me, to long for my embrace
I know that you're broken, my arms are wide open, come see me face to face
I'll touch you, I'll love you, my children
