Biography
Passion, thats one word to describe the band Reconciled when they take to the stage. With their hard-hitting drums, passion filled vocals, flowing hip-hop lyrics, and not to mention the raw, aggressive guitars, Reconciled is a band that strives to show that passion each and every time they are on stage.
The band began between two entrepreneurs who had big dreams. Josh Joseph and James Davis had dreams for business, but didnt know the calling God had prepared for them. Josh was previously a vocalist in a secular band, but later left the band because of the change God had made in His heart. James was an avid rapper who enjoyed Christian rap as well as Contemporary Christian music. They began to compose songs with a loop-based program and recorded them onto a recorder. Still, something was missing. So they called friend, and ex-coworker, Tyler Patrick. Tyler, like Josh, was in a secular band and had left due to the changes God had made in his heart as well. They asked Tyler if he knew any drummers. Tyler knew of one, friend and ex-coworker, Jerry Buell. Tyler and Jerry had talked about starting a band, but were in the beginning stages before Josh and James showed interest. The band practiced but felt like something else was needed. So the band turned to guitarist John Garrison to round out the group. The band first practiced December 20th, 2005 and has been together ever since.
They are quickly becoming a sought after band in Central Ohio, as well as pushing themselves to out of state venues. They have shared the stage with bands such as Disciple, Family Force Five, Dead Poetice, Jonah 33, Sullivan, and more. Reconciled strives to not only put on a good show, but also to share the Gospel of Christ with the crowd. The name Reconciled comes from 2nd Corinthians 5:17-18: Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself thru Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
And with that passion, they strive to do just that.
