Biography
Stephanie Hansen placed in the Top 5 in every singing competition she entered throughout New England in the last two years! This attention resulted in Stephanie being on her way to creating her first CD project.

Stephanie began by choosing songs with the help of Award Winning Producer Michael Hopkins in late May 2006 and the recording started the first week of July 2006.

The first single, "Wings" written by Ron Wallace, has been garnering radio airplay on 97.7 WCTY- FM, in Norwich, CT during the Jimmy Lane and Shelly Martinez morning show. This opportunity presented itself when she entered the WCTY/Plainfield Rotary Club talent search "Catch a Rising Star." Not only did Stephanie make it to the finals, she then placed first giving her the much needed studio time and the chance to have her song played on Jimmy and Shelly's “Make It or Break It.” The song was spun and the result was decidedly a “Make It.”

Rick Racicot and Michael Hopkins of Ascension Recording Studio in Brooklyn, CT where Stephanie has continued to record have provided the best opportunities and advantages available to help her fulfill her dream.

Stephanie has had the chance many artists would die for…. To work with some of the top Nashville studio musicians in the business! Kerry Marx (Lead Guitar), Katherine Marx (Keyboards), Bobby Seglar (Drums), Chris Simmonds (Rhythm & Acoustic Guitars), and Michael Hopkins (Bass)

Hansen was in the studio for three solid days watching them learn a song in what seemed like seconds and playing it with there own twists and styles. With each song she could hardly contain her excitement.

“I know this will be one of the best things ever to happen for me, and no matter what comes of it, I got to do something I have always dreamed of,” says Hansen.

Just four short days after there arrival the players left to go back to Nashville to move on to other studio projects there. Then it was her turn to work…

“I have been singing for as long as I can remember, and working with voice coach Dara Blackstone, regularly, so I thought it would be very easy in the studio and in no time I'd be playing “my songs” in a band on the road doing all of these things that are fun and exciting… It was a long and tedious process, but don't get me wrong, there's an energy you get in the studio just like on stage that lifts you up on your worst day to the level that is expected of you during every frustrating and elevating minute of it” states Stephanie.

Stephanie’s eight piece band, The Front Porch Rockers, was hand picked for each of their individual talents, culminating into one of the hottest country bands to be hitting the circuit this summer.

Now, with every piece of the puzzle in place, Connecticut based Stephanie Hansen is poised to capture the hearts and music appreciation of country music fans all over the country. Don’t miss Stephanie this summer at festivals and fair dates throughout New England, her “Down Home” barefoot country style is sure to warm your heart.

I am told I sound like Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland. I have been at times compaired to Jewel, Faith Hill and other artists by my family, friends, and fans. I am flattered by this, however, it will always be my goal to always be myself.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
