Biography
"Thomas Wywrot is the real deal: a top-level talent on banjo and guitar. He's assembled a top-notch cast for "Every Time I Walk This Road," and the results bear repeated listening. It's as perfect a snapshot of modern bluegrass as you'd want to hear."
-Tim Stafford, Blue Highway
Thomas was born and raised in Dryden, Ontario, Canada, and has played music his entire life. At age 4 it was the ukulele, age 6 the piano, and by the age of 10 he showed a keen interest in bluegrass and the acoustic guitar. Throughout high school, Thomas played various concert and jazz band instruments, but he continued to play the guitar and toured around Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, Minnesota, and North Dakota with his Father and Brother as the Muddy River Boys.
Thomas did not decide to take up the banjo until the age of 18, when the Muddy River Boys stopped playing shows. It was also around the same time that he was accepted to attend East Tennessee State University on a Public Performance scholarship for bluegrass music. This provided a perfect environment to play as much music as possible and set the groundwork for a career as a musician.
Since leaving school, Thomas has performed as a member of The Mark Newton Band, The Boohers, and The Alecia Nugent Band. He has also been very fortunate to play on stage with Kane’s River, Donna Hughes, Gold Heart, Ernie Evans & Southern Light, Valerie Smith, Bradley Walker, Mountain Heart, Jim Lauderdale, and The Chapmans.
You can hear Thomas on Gold Heart’s, “Never Let Go,” Josh Manning’s, “Modern Day Past,” and Alecia Nugent’s, “Hillbilly Goddess.”
Thomas currently lives in Nashville, TN, and plays full time with The Isaacs.

My favorite songs on the CD, which would make great songs to play on the radio are Lily Green, a killer Ben Winship Tune, Till I See You Again, a Kevin Welch tune with Alecia Nugent singing Tenor, and Lonesome Tonight, a great song by Daniel Salyer, who handles most of the lead singing on the CD and is one of my favorite bluegrass vocalists. He also sings on Carolina In The Pines, which puts the song into a nice laid back arrangement like you've never heard it before.
Some other great songs that would play well on the radio would be 95 Years, a good prison song, Kayla Dear, a love gone wrong song, and Meat Eater, a driving banjo instrumental in B.
Thank you so much for your interest in my CD and a guarantee you and your listeners won't be disappointed!
