Biography

Tia McGraff has been called "a singer's singer and a songwriter's writer" and fans around the world describe her voice as "haunting and soul stirring."
After performing leading roles in musical theatre and winning major singing competitions, Tia began her recording career in her native country of Canada, releasing 2 cds to radio and 4 videos to CMT Canada. Tia soon gained industry respect and found herself on CBC TV with Jonny Cash and June Carter and singing the national anthems for the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Driven to improve upon her success, Tia made the bold move to Nashville, where she lived for 8 years honing her craft for songwriting and her artistic direction. It was here that she met and married her husband/producer/songwriter Tommy Parham. Together they have released 3 CDs to Americana radio, have songs placed in film/tv, mentor and produce new artists; and are currently working on Tia's next CD release for 2012.
In 2007 the couple relocated back to Ontario, Canada, and together manage to find balance between their hectic music career and family life.
Following the 2010 release of her CD, Diversity, Tia took home Best Country Recording of the Year at the Hamilton Music Awards, received a 5 star review in the UK's Maverick Magazine, broke top 70 on the US Americana Music Assoc. chart, and top 20 on Nashville's World Indie Chart.
Some of Tia McGraff's notable performances include main stage festivals in Wales, US, and Canada; 300 plus soft seater concert halls like Hamilton Place and Sanderson Centre; prestigious songwriter venues like the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville; charitable benefits such as Estee Lauder's Breast Cancer Benefit in Niagara Falls; and industry events including performing at this year's CCMA' s in Hamilton ON.
