Wall Street goes to work while some Joe loses his shirt

and a farmer hits rock bottom

A mother of three cries alone

wonders how in God's name she'll save their home

While the mortgage lender sells their dream

It's not enough to be what you really want to be

no they shipped that job to China

by some politicians greedy mind

the lines extend the hands reach out

'cause someone dropped a seed of doubt

But then I see a child playing and a stranger smile
