One would think it goes without saying that if you date a singer / songwriter you should know better than to want a song written about you (we don't do happy very well). Despite this I found myself in a relationship with someone who desperately wanted a song to be written about her. So we broke up, and I did. The song was never intended to be vindictive in nature, it was simply a question I felt myself asking once our relationship was no more - and truth be told she was elated that a song had been written about her. Who will love you when I'm gone?
