Inside a Lullaby
Directly after the release of their debut album, Acoustique Juice were joined by drummer and long term friend, James to begin work on their second album ‘Free Fall’. Taken from this album is ‘Inside a Lullaby’ the latest three track single to be released from the duo. The tracks have been re-mixed and re-mastered bringing them the true, clear and balanced sound that was originally intended. With real drums in the mix the duo were able to step away from their usual ‘groove based approach’ into a more rock orientated sound.

The title track originally began as a beautiful and angelic acoustic guitar riff. After fifteen years of holding onto the riff Steve finally wrote lyrics to it. ‘Inside a Lullaby’ poetically delves into the delicate inner dialogue one might go through when attempting to achieve their goals and desires. The chorus of the song offers the option to take a more positive approach.

‘Inside a Lullaby’ followed by the highly energetic “funk rock” crowd pleaser, ‘Freeway Jam’ and dynamic classic rock anthem ‘Right Beside You’, will be available to the public on November 13th 2015 and can be purchased on iTunes and all good online music stores.

Going For The Win!
Acoustique Juice were missing a track for their debut album. With only one day left before the cut off date for uni, Steve sat in his home studio frantically writing ‘Going For The Win’. After having only a small window of time available, Steve wrote whatever came to mind making the track the most playful and carefree song on the album. Sporting lyrics like, “I’m standing on my head cause I like it instead, am I the only one who’s holding it right?”, the amusing track explores a vivacious girl’s journey whilst desperately seeking a party companion. To ensure the song wouldn’t be forgotten, vocalist Kate recorded the track in a mad rush minutes before leaving for work.

‘Going For The Win’ followed by the heavenly sublime ‘Coming Of Age’ and ardently longing ballad ‘Home’ is the next three track single for gypsy funk duo, Acoustique Juice. The three tracks have been given new life after being re-mixed and re-mastered from their 2013 debut album.

‘Going for the Win’ will be available to the public on October 9th 2015 and can be purchased on iTunes and all good online music stores.

Waiting For The Train
Acoustique Juice – re-mastered single ‘Train’, the making of

Brisbane, Australia –August, 2015

After a long night of back to back coastal gigs from two in the afternoon to five in the morning, Steve arrived at a single seat train station with an endless railway in both directions. It was a beautiful sunny morning, everything was lush and green, glistening from the sun hitting the morning due. Awaiting his long ride home towards the city with no one in site and guitar in hand, Steve wrote the song ‘Train’.

Recorded in a hurry using a bucket as a drum kit, homemade shakers and cheap guitars for a uni assignment, ‘Train’ was salvaged from its initial release as a part of their debut album. Two years later the duo resurrected the track with a re-mix and re-master.

‘Train’ from Acoustique Juice is available on iTunes and all good online music stores.

Gypsy Funk in a Bucket!

Children of the Sun, the making of -

Brisbane, Australia – February 09, 2013

As part of a University assignment Acoustique Juices’ goal was to produce a high quality album on a $70 budget. To make the music, the entire album, “Children of the Sun” was recorded in their home studio using a bucket for percussion, two old acoustic guitars and an old bass from a pawn shop. The music they created sounds like a cross between Pink Floyd, Corinne Bailey Rae and The Rosenberg Trio. Within the first few weeks of their release through Jango Radio, they have already built up a good collection of fans from around the world including Malaysia, Venezuela, United States, Mexico, Columbia, France, United Kingdom and Argentina. When asked how they developed their unique sound the band explained that, “They are interested in exploring sounds generated from acoustic instruments and found objects. They support good songwriting and a ‘back to basics’ outlook in the way they record and produce their music”. Acoustique Juice are now live on Amrap’s AirIt catalogue and have recently been played on the Reflections show on BAY 99.9fm.
