Almost Awake releases first single for full length album
Almost Awake, the sensational teen rock band from Las Vegas has released the first single from their anticipated follow up to last year’s EP ‘The Explorer’.

The song, entitled ‘What did I do’ is a hard hitting rock single, reminiscent of Paramore or Pvris, that combines the same amazing guitar work and melodic, soaring vocals that stood out on their EP. The thundering drums and driving bass are also standouts on the track. The single has a decidedly more cohesive sound which the band attributes to more time writing and touring together.

“This record (the upcoming LP), is closer to us as a band,” says Grady Jones lead guitarist and songwriter. “On our EP we’d only been together a few months and were really just laying down these new, kind of sporadic ideas. This is definitely more us.”

The song has been well-received, gaining radio airplay and recognition around the world. It is the first of ten new songs to be released on their first full-length endeavor, which will also include some additional bonus tracks as did their EP. “We had such great feedback from the bonus tracks on our EP that we really wanted to include some extra stuff for our fans at no cost, just to say thanks,” says Vick Liano lead singer and songwriter.
The album, currently being recorded in L.A., is yet untitled and should be available in early April.

Almost Awake is a young female-fronted, five piece rock band from Las Vegas. This fast rising, high energy group of teen-agers (16-19 yrs old) range in musical influences from Paramore, and Nirvana, to Joe Satriani and Marcus Miller. The result is a bombastic blend of melody and musicianship.

Formed in mid-2014 Almost Awake came together when virtuoso guitarist Grady Jones and stellar drummer Gabe Conover teamed up with longtime friend and gifted 16 year old vocalist, Vick Liano. Addison Egelhoff came aboard on rhythm guitar bringing amazing stage presence, and finally Tommy Cochran brought his punk influence and attitude on bass, creating a unique combination of styles and songwriting and the phenomenon which is Almost Awake.

The band, which has garnered a huge following in a very short time and rave reviews from critics, was chosen from thousands of bands to represent the House of Blues Music Forward foundation after only a few months as a band and has since been selected for radio play by Extreme Radio X107.5, Mix 94.1, A.V.A. Live Radio, KGUP FM Emerge Radio, EGH Radio in the UK, Women of Substance radio, Music Inferno Radio, and many others.

Almost Awake has performed throughout the west coast with The Extreme Tour, played at the Mesa Music Festival, and opened for such acts as Escape the Fate, A lot like Birds Handguns, Roam, Hit the Lights and many more.
