A Christmas Carol
well, it's 4am on Christmas morning
and the radio's my only friend
the sun's still asleep, and I'm left with my memories
and hopes that I'll see you again

now Bob Cratchit's a fella who never stops dreaming
of everything working out right
and this radio play is working its magic
on my dreams about you tonight

anything's possible, nothing's too late
that's Christmas's bottom line
and no matter how badly I've broken your heart
I just might not be out of time

old Ebeneezer's a blessed mean cuss
for most of that timeless old tale
but he turns it around, and we all get to witness
the good in a changed man prevail

just how many people have heard this old story?
who's heart has it salvaged before?
if I try to believe in the spirit of Christmas
could you really love me once more?

anything's possible, nothing's too late
that's Christmas's bottom line
and no matter how badly I've broken your heart
I just might not be out of time

where are you spending your 4am Christmas
are you sipping some holiday wine?
is there any chance you've got your radio tuned to
that ol' Christmas Carol like mine?

is there any chance you've got your radio tuned to
that ol' Christmas Carol like mine?
