6. L.A. Aqueduct
L.A. AQUAEDUCT

It flows from the San Fernando, on down by the park
Ain’t no place to walk alone after dark
There’s no fishin’, no swimmin’
But it brings us all the luck,
The concrete banks of the L. A. Aqueduct

Some walk the streets and some ride the rails
Some pump gas and some are out on bail
Now me, I drive all over town
Just tryin’ to make a buck along
The concrete banks of the L. A. Aqueduct

I livke L. A. and I travel a lot
Been drivin’ ..30 years, believ it or not
All over this town
In some old pick up truck along
The concrete banks of the L. A. Aqueduct

A lot of the friends that I had before
Some moved to the mountains, some to the shore
But me, I’ll stay right here
Where I can jive and shuck along
The concrete banks of the L. A. Aqueduct
And when I die, they’r gonna bury me along
The concrete banks of the L. A. Aqueduct
