Bio:

With her breathtaking signature vocals, original music that fuses classical influences over pop beats, and lucid multi-layered lyrics, opera pop sensation and poet Aria Tesolin just can't be compared to any other artist. With it's smooth intricacy, Aria's fearless genre crossing music style takes pop classical music out of its comfort zone in churches and recital halls and bringing it to Top 40 and AC radio with multi-generational audience appeal.

Born near Toronto, she can't remember a time when she wasn't singing. By age 8, with the dramatic gravitas of a young Callas, Aria was performing opera arias in concert with tenors in videos later popularized on YouTube. At 12, she put out her first album Baby Soprano, a 14-track opera album.

Since 2012, Aria Tesolin’s songs have been playing on nearly 800 radio stations in 23 countries, and winning the hearts of both Adult Contemporary and Top40 audiences.

In March 2012, she performed with the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra at their Spring Pops concert, featured on OMNI TV and she has recently been featured on several national tv programs including ETalk, CanadaAM, CHCH & CP24 News.

Hear Me: A moving song about overcoming a crisis of faith, Hear Me is perfect for this Christmas season (and beyond). Mid-tempo suits Top 40, AC, Hot AC, Rock/Alt, formats written and performed by Aria Tesolin

The Key: With music and lyrics solely written by Tesolin, The Key is a dramatic love song that tells of a love affair with a mysterious stranger or ghost who haunts a woman’s dreams and captures her unwilling heart somewhere between fantasy, dream and reality. The Key is both romantic and mysterious, and combines a potent blend of innocence and curiosity. Latin-inspired and with a sultry beat, this track combines elements of a contemporary electronic sound with classical influences.

Dolce: Not since Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up" has there been a playable, beautiful crossover-classical release with wide market appeal like Dolce. Dolce is a pop classical styled innocent love song about two best friends who enjoy a wonderful day together and suddenly realize they have fallen in love, with an epic musical score written by Italian composer Popi Fabrizio. First radio release, recorded by the artist at 17, Dolce’s timeless feel and thrilling chorus has all the makings of a classic love song that will be loved for years to come.

REVIEWS:

Album Review - Ascension - "The vocal virtuoso has since blossomed as a lyricist too, as can be heard on this strong second album. It fuses classical, pop and electronica elements to beguiling effect, with producer/arranger Douglas Romanow doing fine work." - Kerry Doole, New Canadian Music (Apr 16, 2013)

Woman to Watch: Aria Tesolin "The songwriter's sound borrows from a buffet of genres. Pop, rock n' roll, jazz, and — of course — opera all trade jabs in any given piece. Ascension’s title track, for example, is at once an introspective play on musical theatre, and a demented Cohen-esque waltz." - Barry Chong, Toro Magazine (Apr 17, 2013)

“Opera prodigy Aria Tesolin grows up with an ambitious new album...Ascension sets her dramatic Andrew Lloyd Webber-esque melodies against strings, harps and subtle electronic chittering. In concert she goes beyond the standard repertoire to sing poperatic arrangements of tunes by Corinne Bailey Rae and Nirvana. To hear her give Kurt Cobain's words the Callas treatment is to witness a performer finding her true voice.” Toronto Life

“.....a gorgeous ten-track collection.....includes a range of upbeat, radio-accessible numbers as well as tenderly sung ballads. ." " expert application of vibrato and the ever-so-slight whispiness as well.....Enthusiasts will be impressed with the fabulous application of control and restraint that establishes a perfect cadence with the arrangements.” Russell Elliot - Musical Discoveries

"..Tesolin has become a veritable jazz-diva-in-waiting, her warmly hued voice staking a definite claim on the pop-flavored end of the genre." - Toronto Life, Arts Entertainment

“Every once in a while you find an artist who has that special something; an artist who has a voice that makes the hairs on your arms stand up; an artist whose music just makes you feel really good - that artist is Aria Tesolin. Aria has a true sense of musicality and originality that is hard to come by now-a-days. Aria's true songwriting talent is to take something universal and turn it into something truly majestic and magical. Aria Tesolin will take your breath away.... Underlying Aria's gorgeous voice are perfectly detailed arrangements and an artistic delivery that hasn't been seen since Norah Jones first hit the scene. Aria is both a musician's musician and a people's musician; she appeals to the concert hall trained ear and to general audiences who know they are hearing something extraordinary, but at the same time feel as though every song Aria sings was written just for them.” Silvia Harris (Record Label Door, A& R Tip Sheet, featured in USA Today
