"Transform Me" Nominated for "Best Rock Song"

"Transform Me", the new release by Asphalt Messiah has been nominated for “Best Rock Song” by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. This is the fifth major acknowledgment for the song “Transform Me” by the entertainment industry since its release earlier this year.

During the summer of 2009, Asphalt Messiah was the only Independent band at the table with such well known acts as “Nickleback”, “Green Day”, “Linkin Park”, “Cheap Trick” and others vying to have their song included in the new “Transformer II” movie with “Transform Me” being strongly considered. Due to time restraints and other restrictions the song narrowly missed inclusion in the movie. It is currently being considered for the title track in a new major motion picture currently contracted.

On June 18, 2009, WBLP Radio, Dallas/Ft. Worth selected songs “Fall Back”, “Transform Me”, “Buried Alive”, “First of Never”, “No Way”, and “Maniac” by Asphalt Messiah for inclusion on their stations playlist. “Fallback”, ‘Transform Me” and “Maniac” all made the “Top 50” requested songs the following week, where they have continued to stay. The current positions of the songs are #17, #19 and #38 respectively. The station also has a MySpace account and other links they use to further promote music.

Music from the album “1865” by Asphalt Messiah has been selected by two radio stations, one in the UK and one in Tennessee. A third station in Ohio through the Allindianz AirPlay Direct Label where music from the album is also being played, streamed and downloaded selected them.

Asphalt Messiah is currently being featured on Skelter Radio-Wicked Rock Canada during May and their song "Buried Alive" was guaranteed 3-4 plays every twenty-four hours. Asphalt Messiah Rocks The Iron Circus for Charity!
On May 30th 2009 Asphalt Messiah played in front of almost 3,000 as they rocked the Iron Circus event for Charity (Let Me Sail)and The Metal Mullisha. AM played all the songs from their EP, a new song "Transform Me" (That is currently @ Paramount Pictures for film placement) and a freestyle song in true AM fashion. Quote from Kacy Jones (guitarist and founding member)" This event was important for us because the benefit was for teens with disabilities. We are all about the advancement of young people no matter what!"
