Biography
B-Eazy The Artist, born Benjamin L. Bell in 1984 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is an independent American music artist, songwriter, record producer, and businessman. From a boy growing up experiencing difficult circumstances, to a man solely focused on his passion & purpose, Benjamin's story is one of hope, strength, and faith. With the ever-present options of giving up or giving in, Benjamin has navigated through life showing tremendous resiliency. In a world filled with people with gifts, talents, & a story to tell, Benjamin chooses to show & tell his through words & melodies. His way.

Growing up in the Hillside Village Housing Projects in Harrisburg in the 80's, there were two things which were always a constant: trouble and music. Tunes could be heard blaring from stereos in almost every window. From R&B, Pop, to Oldies, a young Benjamin was exposed to different types of music early on. However, in 1987-88, Benjamin got his first taste of Hip-Hop/Rap when he heard a track off of Kool Moe Dee's "Wild Wild West" album. Captured by the beats, rhymes, and the overall style, young Benjamin became of fan of Hip-Hop, never thinking he would one day embark on a career in music.

At the age of 12, Benjamin wrote his first song entitled "Everyday Life." Already in a state of mind to uplift and inspire others, the song was a motivational ode about everyday people dealing with the challenges of everyday life. Even at this young age Benjamin had natural talent, and more importantly, the mindset to stay true to himself as a person. From the time he was a little boy, Benjamin was brought up in the church by his father, who is a Christian minister, teacher, etc. Unbeknownst to him at the time, the strong foundation of his faith and the willingness to stay true to himself will go on to set the precedent for his life going forward and his career in music.

After writing his first song, being young and unsure of his talent, Benjamin didn't write anymore, choosing instead to focus on another passion of his: sports. A career choice of music for a teenager just did not seem likely, or even realistic for that matter. Dedicating himself to football and basketball, Benjamin had dreams of playing professionally at the highest level. However, frequent moves as a result of family situations proved to be too much to overcome. Graduating from high school in 2003, and with no realistic plans for college, a depressed Benjamin joined the workforce, unsure of what life in the "real world" would bring him.

About a year later, while working on his job, a co-worker urged him to participate in "freestyle" rapping to have fun and pass the time. Benjamin joined in the fun, and pretty soon his passion for music reemerged. In 2006, Benjamin recorded his first song entitled "Clap Ya Hands," another motivational and uplifting piece about maintaining a sense of joy in times of struggle. Even though he was elated and poised to pursue a career in music after recording "Clap Ya Hands," the next several years proved difficult, as Benjamin struggled to balance the realities of life versus his dreams and goals. Obstacle after obstacle got in the way, but in the beginning of 2012, the now 27 yr. old Benjamin returned to music with the mindset of "now or never," never to be detracted again. #TimeNow
