1. A Boy Like Me (Doug Moreland/Matt Skinner) While driving to Dallas, we were talking about the type of songs we needed to add to our set. I wanted something upbeat that swings like the Charlie Daniels fiddle tunes we did. I said I didn't want to learn anything else, I'd rather write something. As usual, I was driving and Skinner had a guitar, so I sang the lines to him and he worked up the chords. And it just came out -- the whole melody and everything. That quick. For some reason, we write a lot of songs driving to Dallas. I guess if I ever get writer's block, I'll grab Skinner and head up I-35.
