Biography
Polaradio, a band of five Colorado rockers, hit the stage with their debut self-titled CD in September 2006 to much acclaim in the grassroots independent music scene. On GarageBand.com they took 'best of' awards for Better Day and Like You.
The band was formed by Dusty Hughes, who remains the primary song writer and front man. Accompanied by David Ashley and David ‘Buzz’ Busby on guitars and vocals, Frank Romero on bass and Dwayne Seibert on drums, they create a retro-to-modern rock sound. Twisting guitar riffs, bedrock bass and percussion, crisp harmonies and melodic vocals with driving emotion and spiritual overtones define the Polaradio signature.
In 2007 a limited release acoustic CD, 'Acoustic Waves', was recorded, primarily for their local fan base who was enjoying a series of acoustic shows the band was performing around Colorado.
The latest CD project, 'Uphill Revolution', will release in early 2009. It is a stronger collaborative effort than previously release material, with song writing and studio contributions from every band member. So far Uphill is accumulating high praise from critics. The singles Alive and Free were released in November 2008. (see
