The music of Andy Joslin is an intriguing landscape that chimes and swirls like a pop dream. His songs are emotional constructions that open up as wide as the desert that surrounds him.
Over the past decade, this singer/songwriter has beguiled audiences through out the southwest, headlining his own shows and supporting acts as diverse as the Counting Crows, Dave Matthews Band, Alanis Morrisette, Seal and The Wallflowers. As a member of the four piece band called Bit O' Jane, Joslin's band won the 1998 Arizona Music Award for Best Pop/Rock Band.
Around the same time, Joslin co-founded Dreamcatcher Recording Studio and quickly garnered a reputation as a top flight engineer/producer. Joslin's rare combination of multi-instrumental ability and production skills has afforded him the unique opportunity to execute his art from first creative conception to final mastering.
After playing with many top regional acts, Joslin has set out on his own as a solo artist with a new record that is the defining moment of his career.
Soul Seed is Joslin's new release on Lazy River Records. The CD has a sound that bridges radio formats, drawing the listener in effortlessly with universal themes that move from the secular to the spiritual. His art, the songs of Soul Seed occupy a space where worldbeat meets the American heartland.
