in conversation, I dreamed I had a revelation

anytime you think you can make every other ship sink,
somebody's gonna come and take your guns
there'll be no more shooting for the sun
maybe you should just turn yourself around today
instead of wasting all your time away
from your friends and family at home
they know where your words are coming from

don't try to change around the way we all been growing up

Worrying about tomorrow
is like worrying about the cargo in a plane that's about to crash into
an ocean that's held up by you
but your shoulders show no sacrifice to some strangers seeking some advice

all I'm trying to do is to progress and clean up all of our filthy messes
that we always seem to make
instead we're calling them mistakes
