About Heart for the Hills

Heart for the Hills is written with the same persons in mind that brought about Bluegrass Music. Appalachian people that at one time were forced to cities like Detroit and Clevland looking for work, like Richard's father Paul Patrick once had to do, leaving his home at Hardburly, Kentucky and going to Detroit to try and make it. Those people found themselves surrounded by concrete and a life far unlike what they left behind in the Appalachias. They never forgot their mountain homes and no matter how long they were gone, they always had a 'Heart for the Hills'. Recorded at River Track Studios, Fort Gay, WV, 2007.
