Biography
Grace dyer was born at home in a Manhattan apartment to alcoholic parents. She was placed in the foster care system in Brooklyn N.Y. where she attended P.S. 44 and J.H.S. 258 it was at these two schools Grace would discover her gifts and talents in the area of rap music and literary art.
It was the late 70's and early 80's rap music began to boom and once Grace heard it she was hook. Grace mastered the ability to write poetical lyrics to music about her life and issues people faced in thier lives everyday. It was upon entering Maxwell H.S. in East N.Y. Grace let her closest friend in about her secret. She could rap and she was good at it! constantly Grace's friends encouraged her to continue with her talents and never give up.
In 2001 Grace published her first book. It was her autobiography "The Tattered Quilt". In 2006 Grace completed her rap cd entitled "By Grace... "
Grace has a strong unique anointing which has and continues to touch the lives of troubled youth and young adults throughout Long Island and has reached the borders of Arizona, Missouri and Ohio.
Grace has appeared on News 12 Long Island, Today's Woman Magazine, CNN in Atlanta Georgia addressing the Latino Communinty on Domestic Violence, Newsday Long Island, Wyandanch, Milton Olive J.H.S., Wyandanch and North Babylon Libraries, facilities for troubled girls, youth and church conferences.
