Celeste Terrell on AirPlay Direct

Ok, now I'm a quiet person, but I do like talking about myself...So I grew up in Louisiana playing piano and loving jazz and rag time (all spillovers from New Orleans.) But, after graduation it was time to decide on a "real" job, so I went to cooking school in Boston. Next, I worked in a few restaurants and then decided to become a personal chef for a couple years. But, I kept thinking about music. One day on the bus going to work I listened to Radohead's "How To Disappear Completely" and the line, "I"m not here, this isn't happening" struck something deep.

So, soon after I decided to move back south where I could be near my family again and afford to pay rent while pursuing music. Here I am now in Houston and I've been pursuing music since January 2007. Exactly one year later I will release my first LP, Live Your Dreams with my band The Bends. I'm working with Alex Tiuniaev from Moscow, an ambient composer who is at the ripe old age of 21. We have been working via email and the miracle of the Internet to produce this new album.
