Paused, then said, “Of course I always want to perform and sell records, but really, I’m always writing, and hopefully, that will be recognized and valuable to those who listen. You write about what you know, what you feel, what you can pass on, and what will (hopefully) make a difference. Like June Carter said, ‘ I’m just trying to matter.’”
