Margaret's Waltz
Patrick N.S. Shaw (1917-77) wrote this melody and composed a Country Dance by the same name in 1959. As a young boy of six, Pat began folk dancing in London. His mother was a professional singer and had a hand in opening the Cecil Sharp House, which was the headquarters of the English Folk Dance and Song Society. He studied music at Queen's College, Cambridge, and became an authority of folk song and dance of Scotland, England, Wales and Holland.
