I woke up early one morning
I was feeling kinda down
the job I had just dissappeared
the boss man, he left town

My wife fixed me a great big breakfast
bacon, eggs and grits
she said put on this brand new cowboy hat
let's see how it fits

Well the hat fit great
so I headed out the door
some work I had to find
there'll be a ranch that needs a cowboy
and I'll leave these blues behind
