What Another Lovely Day
WHAT ANOTHER LOVELY DAY
by Karling Abbeygate

Had it been some other time and place I could have saved some face
Instead I went and did it all again
You stared into your coffee cup the silence pressing down so hard
I thought that I would die beneath the weight
Then you put your coffee down and still I couldn’t hear a sound
But I saw your lips were moving in that way
That way that says it’s over and it has been for a while
And there is nothing I can do or I can say

Hey hey hey what another lovely day
Crazy if you think I care
Hey hey hey put a circle on this day
So I can celebrate it every year

Then you stepped outside to clear the air but I could see you there
Calling up somebody on the phone
How humiliating knowing someone else is waiting
And while you’re together I’ll be here alone

All alone, while you’re together I’ll be here alone
All alone, while you’re together I'll be here alone

Hey hey hey what another lovely day
Crazy if you think I care
Hey hey hey put a circle on this day
So I can celebrate it every year

Even though I cry at night if it ain't right then it ain't right
Days will turn to months eventually
So for now I’m passin’ time waiting for the day I turn the page
And see our anniversary

Hey hey hey what another lovely day
Crazy if you think I care
Hey hey hey put a circle on this day
So I can celebrate it every year
