My Fair Lady
MY FAIR LADY
©2008 by Jeffry Scott Kriegshauser

1. A young flower girl who took much abusing.
Making plans for the world, but it’s just so confusing.
‘Cause there’s just no easy way out from under all the pain.

2. A future in filth; so much like your mother
Who stuck you to the hilt, but still made you love her.
You can’t find an easy way out of poverty and sin.

CHORUS 1:
Bring on the champion.
Armed only with trusting intent and a myth
To make you a lady
Pygmalian fair lady with only a kiss.

3. Learning the lies and learning to tell more.
To love the word “I”, but not what it stands for.
It seems like the easy way out, but you never really win.

CHORUS 2:
Bring on the champion.
Give him his day in the ring to see
My darling fair lady
Pygmalian awaits him to show him defeat.

4. And so on it goes. Is the cycle unbroken?
The next seed is sown, but has a door been left open?
You learn there’s no easy way out, but it’s sure hard stayin’ in.

CHORUS 3:
Bring on the champion.
Let him stand high in defeat and see
If something has happened
That you and your baby might get what you need.
Oh, bring on the champion in spite of defeat.
Oh, bring on the champion, fair lady to meet.
