United Souls of Robert Lauri

For Christmas, Robert Lauri’s new release will be supported by a mass-market campaign. The first 10,000 participants who download the titles will be able to download a song on the artiste’s website with Revernation, either by adding their names to the distribution list or by asking for the promo CD to be mailed to them. In “United Souls”, Robert Lauri lets us discover all the richness and diversity of his creative melody-making force and offers five titles that could be described as “new sound”. He reveals new musical moods that have a “French touch” while delivering vibrant classical, pop and rap rhythms - all in harmony and blending together.

Robert Lauri’s “United Souls” release consists of five titles, all of which have their own special magic. They “speak” to the younger audience as lovers of dreamy or melancholic musical creations. The “Bahia Dream” title is a melody with the “French touch”, plus a shade of melancholy, in an exotic universe made of bandonion, rap and pop. “God Bless” surprises by its dance rhythm, intermingling classical lyrically-voiced and rap moods in order to finish in an apotheosis where the classical and the rap come together, in an intense new climate. “Over” is a title that transports us and one that supplements this release by instrumental arrangements and keyboard chords, offering a melancholic melody over the rap, the whole carried by voices that deeply affect our emotions.

“Think About It” is a title which, from its very first notes, irresistibly invites us all to go on to the dance floor, and with its compulsive rhythm, to move to the pop and rap chords. “Do You Ever” is a song in the soul style that traverses several rhythmical moods, with an entry of piano and violin chords amongst other things, warm voices that frame the melody in order then to advance towards a more sustained rhythm and to finish on a high with a dance rhythm.

In this new release, “United Souls”, Robert Lauri reveals to us his immense ability to create innovative arrangements without forgetting any generation, with the constant thread running through all his creations, imagination and emotion.

Robert Lauri has been an author, a composer, a tunesmith and a performer since his tenderest years. His musical career has been punctuated, for more than thirty years, by several records and a successful international career - both in the United States and in Europe - with the Alef Group. In 2009, the artiste launched his MyConcert2009 programme (Concert à la Carte), which also contains a part allowing the public to participate in the production, and some sponsorship.
