Outer Road
Outer Road
Four lanes of trucks drivin’ way too fast
Separated by a strip of green
Little foreign cars and some SUV’s
Stuck in between
The State of Missouri says “Please don’t litter” on a big blue sign
I don’t know why everybody’s in a hurry
Me, I’d rather take it slow
I might get lost but I’m better off
Over here on the outer road
Eighteen wheelers passin’ Porsche’s
Layin’ on their horns
While I’m driving by tractors and horses
And some big red barns
My road might have a few more curves but I don’t mind
I don’t know why everybody’s in a hurry
Me, I’d rather take it slow
I might get lost but I’m better off
Over here on the outer road
Some people are savin’. I’d like to spend
A little more time
I don’t know why everybody’s in a hurry
Me, I’d rather take it slow
I might get lost but I’m better off
Over here on the outer road
On the Outer Road
