Silver Lining
Silver Lining
(Written by Judy Wing)
I don’t know the reason our life paths have crossed
Could it be the vacuum of emptiness and loss
Maybe somewhere in the blue our prayers have tangled
Two petitions of the lonely like lost kites in the sky
All this time I’ve been waiting for my silver lining.

Do you believe in angels that somehow seem to know
The words that must be spoken to heal a broken soul
Do you know how you were given maps to my old memories
Were you always there beside me and I just couldn’t see?
All this time I’ve been waiting for my silver lining.

I hidden sense of purpose I don’t understand
Slips away like remnants of a dream I used to have
You’re here and your smile has come to be
A comfort in this weary world.
