Out of the Blue
OUT OF THE BLUE
Water drips and counts the days that I have wanted more
The evidence collected in these pots upon the floor
That play a syncopated symphony of my efforts to accept
That there are things that will never change with tears or regret
These four walls they speak to me where the winter wind blows through
There are warmer places I could be if I wanted to
Embrace the changes waiting for my courage to renew
The day of my decision that will open up the view
I’m headed out, out of the blue
Gonna learn to live the life I’ve always wanted to
I’ve done my time, I’ve paid my dues
Heading out of the blue, with or without you.
My troubles plenty, my chances slim
My thoughts are darkening day after day after day
Truth is dawning that I might have to be the one
Who’s coming to rescue me.
