If you think the members of “Wildfire” look familiar to you, you’re probably right; they’ve all been members of J. D. Crowe’s “New South”. Wildfire’s members - Phil Ledbetter on resonator guitar, baritone vocals; Robert Hale on guitar, lead vocals; Darrell Webb on mandolin, tenor & lead vocals; Curt Chapman on zeta bass; and Barry Crabtree on banjo - bring their talent together for their debut release on Pinecastle entitled “Uncontained.” The project finds expression in a collection that’s as satisfying and distinctive as any in bluegrass music today. In addition to an extensive tour schedule, they have been invited back to play numerous dates at Dollywood, a highly noted theme park in east Tennessee. Special guests on this release include Scott Vestal on banjo and Sonja Isaacs on harmony vocals.
